Worker Assignment Module (Improved)

The Improved Worker Assignment Module is the starting point for your manufacturing and job-work processes. It is used to issue raw materials to internal workers or external contractors, assign a specific production Lot/Batch, and track the expected output.

1. Accessing the Assignment Dashboard

Navigate to Improved Assignment from the main sidebar.

Assignment Main Dashboard The main dashboard displaying the list of all active and past assignments.

Dashboard Controls & Data Grid

At the top of the dashboard, you have several controls to manage your view:

  • Filters: Filter records by a Start Date and End Date. Click the Filter button to apply.
  • Export Options: Export the table data using the Copy, CSV, or Excel buttons.
  • Table Columns: The grid displays the Id, Date, Job Type, Worker, Lot No, Total Qty, Amount, Progress, UserName, and Action.
  • Table Controls: Adjust Show rows to see more data per page, use Column visibility to declutter, or use the global Search bar.

2. Creating a New Worker Assignment

Click the + Assignment button above the table to open the assignment creation modal. This form is where you define who is doing the work and what materials they are receiving.

2.1 Basic Header Information

  • Job Type: Define the specific manufacturing process (e.g., Stitching, Cutting, Packaging).

  • Godown: Select the physical warehouse or inventory location where the raw materials are being pulled from (defaults to your Default Godown).
  • Date & Delivery Date: Set the date the materials are issued and the expected completion date.

2.2 Form Tabs & Accordions

Below the header, the form is split into three functional tabs:

Item Details Tab

This tab is used if you are assigning a specific finished product configuration for the worker to build.

Raw Materials Tab

This is the core inventory issuance section.

  • Click the Advance Search button to open a sub-modal containing all available purchase items (raw materials).
  • Select the materials the worker is taking and specify the Quantity. The system will automatically deduct this from your selected Godown.

Additional Info Tab

  • Description & Remarks: Enter internal notes (e.g., “TEST-001 - Test Assignment”) or specific instructions for the worker.
  • Barcode: If you use barcode scanners to issue jobs, you can place your cursor in this field and scan the job card or lot sheet.

2.3 Finalizing the Assignment

Once all fields are filled, especially the required Lot/Batch field, click the blue Save button. The system will create the assignment, update raw material inventory, and the new job will appear in the main dashboard grid.
